South Africa - Limpopo Province
The Wilson Foundation focuses its efforts in and around the town of Vaalwater in Limpopo Province, located about three hours north of Johannesburg. This area, surrounded by the Waterberg Mountains, is extremely beautiful yet marked by the highest unemployment rate in South Africa and a population that has been devastated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
The public schools are government-run, and many families have difficulty paying even a modest tuition. There is a critical shortage of trained medical personnel working in the area. The Wilson Foundation is among the few international organizations that provide support in this area, which makes our work here especially critical.

There are many ways you can support our efforts to bring help and hope to the children of South Africa. While we receive many generous offers to donate products, supplies and other items, the cost to ship these items to South Africa is often prohibitive. Therefore, we encourage monetary donations to help meet local needs.
